Learn Your Way

A post 16 programme of study for young people funded by Adult Education aged 16-24 and who have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).

Running for 7 years Learn Your Way is a Post 16 programme of study which understands the needs of learners who have an EHCP. We believe that with the right support and encouragement young people can achieve a qualification, build their skills and confidence, make friends and progress onto even better things!

The Programme:

  • Small & friendly programme with limited spaces because not all of us like the hustle and bustle of busy learning environments.

  • Students spend 3 days a week with us, incorporating a mix of lifeskills in the classroom and community engagement.

  • We operate from two sites, Penhaligon House in Truro and The Penwith Centre in Penzance.

  • We have an experienced team of educational support assistants (ESA) to ensure that our learners have the right level of support they need.

  • We prepare learners for adulthood by developing confidence, social skills, travel training, teamwork, time management, money & independent living skills.

  • English and Maths are embedded in the programme but with the opportunity of a formal qualification for those who want to study Functional Skills.

It’s good! I’ve been able to work on my CV, complete application forms and get a variety of recognised awards in personal life and work skills.
